Mischo Beauty's Top Holiday Nail Color Picks featured on Hot-Coco.com!

Mischo Beauty Loves Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pure Shine No. 34 - Metallic Gold Lipstick & Golden Gloss No. 36 - Golden Chocolate Lip Gloss

I've been wearing this lipstick (Rouge Pure Shine No. 34 - Metallic Gold) for a few weeks now and yes it's metallic gold (second photo below), but it wears very sheer. It looks amazing with my haircolor, and I love that it's buildable. But my favorite look (third photo below) is layering the lipstick above with Yves Saint Laurent's Golden Gloss No. 36 - Golden Chocolate. The gloss layers nicely, isn't sticky and is full of shimmer, shine and sparkles. So, what do you think?

Mischo Beauty Loves Yves Saint Laurent 2010 Holiday Makeup Collection

You all know how much I love Yves Saint Laurent beauty, so it's only natural that I share my favorites from the Holiday 2010 collection. Available in stores now, the collection is full of golds, shimmer and lots of shine - all of which are exactly what you need for the holidays. My personal favorites from this collection include the Touche D'or, which is a face highlighter I've been using just above the apples of my cheeks for a subtle glow. And because I've always been a lipstick girl (my preference is lipstick over lip gloss), I'm loving Rouge Pure Shine No. 34 - Metallic Gold lipstick which looks amazing with my haircolor! I've been layering it with Golden Gloss No. 36 - Golden Chocolate lip gloss, and the look is sexy!

Mischo Beauty Loves YSL Beauty's "#142 Ultra Orange" Nail Polish

While I can't say that YSL Beauty's La Laque #142 Ultra Orange is the "color of the summer", I will tell you all that I am in love with it! So much so, that it was my nail color of choice at my Dove sponsored spa dayI tweeted about a few weeks ago (more on that later today!). The color is creamy and bright, and reminds me of a fruity popsicle. It's definitely a must-have shade for the summer!

Mischo Beauty Loves Yves Saint Laurent 2010 Spring Makeup Collection

It's your "YSL Beauty Girl" here and I couldn't write another post without letting you all know about their newest launch. Unfortunately, I don't have samples to show you, but from what I've been able to view of the collection, I think I pretty much want it all! My picks definitely include the two palettes below: #1 Face Highlighter & #2 Blush Highlighter

YSL Beauty describes the collection as: "This season the YSL woman represents allure and passion. She is Faubourg St Honore chic, an enigma of contrasts: intimate, sensual and decadent. She is forever...PARIS."

Mischo's Mistletoe Beauty Guide

I enjoy sharing beauty tips, beauty education and product reviews with you all, but now it's time for some fun! It's my favorite time of the year- and so the theme of this guide is all about achieving that "kiss me under the mistletoe" look with gorgeous makeup, hair, skin and nails. And so, let's begin!

The foundation for beautiful skin, is healthy skin. My recommendation is to start with a cleansing and nourishing facial. We all know the benefits of facials, right? And so my suggestion is a visit to Christine Chin Spa, owned by celebrity esthetician, Christine Chin. She has over 20 years of experience in the skincare business, and her clients include Gisele Bundchen, Kimora Lee Simmons and Kate Moss.

I don't know about you, but I want to keep my skin healthy and glowing after an investment in a facial. I suggest investing in a Clarisonic skincare brush. You can use it in conjunction with a cleanser and also with an exfoliant for an even deeper cleansing. I always use mine during the mini-facials I give myself at home. The removal of dead skin cells, not only helps with cell turnover, but also keeps skin looking young and fresh.

There's not much I need to say about La Mer, that you don't already know! It is luxury skincare at it's best. What I will say though is, if you don't have a consistent skincare regimen- GET STARTED NOW! I'm recommending The Connoisseur Collection.

Baths are both relaxing and pampering- and you should pamper yourself daily, not just on special occasions. I fell in love with the Bath Oil Collection, Deluxe Soap Collection and Pamper Kit- all holiday gift sets by Jo Malone. Sorry- I couldn't pick just one!

I stopped in Bergdorf's this past summer and fell in love with Serge Lutens Parfum. I know fragrance scents are individual, but there are enough scents in this collection of fragrances that you'll definitely fall in love with one of them. When I wear Nuit De Cellophane or Datura Noir- I'm always complemented. Wearing one of these scents will definitely secure a kiss!

I'm partial to a sexy, sultry eye look- especially for under the mistletoe, and so my pick is the Les 4 Ombres De Chanel eye shadow quad in "Smoky Eyes" by Chanel.

You all know how much I love celebrity makeup artist, Sam Fine. Whatever he's using, I'm rushing out to try! He loves blushes by NARS, and my suggestion to you is to visit a NARS counter near you and find a shade that makes you glow! One of my favorites is "Orgasm".

So this is really about achieving the most kissable lips, right! So I'm recommending both the Rouge Volupte and Fard A Levres Rouge Pur lipsticks by Yves Saint Laurent. The texture, range of shades, and wearability make both lipsticks so worth it! And kissable lips are worth it, right?

I don't know about you, but when I look at a person, most times my eyes are drawn to their hair first. And so, healthy hair is key! A beautifully executed cut and color, doesn't hurt! If you happen to be near New York City, then you need to see Carlina Munoz for color (you won't be disappointed!) and she's at the John Barrett Salon. My recommendation for a haircut would be an amazing hairstylist by the name of Mahogany, at the Oscar Blandi Salon. Mahogany also specializes in extensions, Brazilian relaxing treatments and thermal straightening treatments.

For home maintenance- yes, you must properly care for your investments- I'm recommending Kerastase. I love this line of products because there's a product for every hair type/need/issue. So if you've colored your hair, be sure to check out the Reflection collection. If you're having issues with dryness, possibly due to the change in seasons, then check out the Nutritive collection of products.

I'm personally dying to visit Jin Soon Hand And Foot Spa. It's owned by manicurist to the stars, Jin Soon. Remember her collaboration with MAC Cosmetics earlier this year, and the nail colors you couldn't live without? Well, not only is Jin about creating chic nail colors and pampering her clients, she also educates her clients on the health and care of their nails. She's even included a downloadable nail handbook on her website (I love it!). There's no doubt that after an appointment with her, you'll have perfectly manicured hands and feet.

And finally, we know manicures/pedicures only last for so long (especially depending on your lifestyle, etc.) and so I love Zoya Nail Polish for home use. It's free of harmful chemicals, and you WILL find a shade you'll fall in love with! Remember how much I loved "Layla" this summer? Right now I'm wearing "Envy" and yes, I love it too!

I hope you all loved my picks, suggestions and recommendations. I had fun compiling this list- and really, it go could on forever! What I really want for the holidays- besides all the kisses I can get under the mistletoe- is love, peace and happiness for all!

Mischo Beauty Pick: PARISIENNE By Yves Saint Laurent Beauty

I welcomed the opportunity to try Yves Saint Laurent Beauty's newest fragrance, Parisienne, and I will tell you that I was not disappointed. It's described as "a grand floral with a woody structure, luminous even in its mystery". The fragrance's top notes are Blackberry, Damask Rose and Sandalwood.

Now I'm not an expert when it comes to fragrances, but I could barely smell the Sandalwood which contributes to the "woody structure" of the fragrance and I think that's why I liked it so much. I'm more partial to citrus/floral scents, and I could smell the richness of the Blackberry and Damask Rose immediately after testing it out. It's more of a "day" scent for me and it's definitely a keeper! Have you tried it?

I'm a little late with this post, but I had to alert those of you who are always on the search for sparkle-free lip glosses (it seems that most lip glosses have some sort of sparkle or shimmer in them these days- am I right?)- this is especially for my reader, Andrea!

I'm officially calling myself a "YSL Beauty Girl" because as you all know by now, I'm a huge fan of just about everything they create. Their fall makeup collection will be available beginning August and is described as:

Mischo Beauty Loves: Claudia Schiffer for Yves Saint Laurent Spring/Summer 2009 Ad Campaign

I'm loving Claudia's hair in the current YSL ad campaign, just as much as I loved Naomi's in last fall's ad campaign.

I'm partial to soft and flowing roller-set, pin-curled hairstyles. They're simple, classic and glamorous. Here, her hair is reminiscent of 1940's Lena Horne and Veronica Lake. I've been searching all over the web to find the hairstylist who created this look, but no such luck yet...

I LOVE YSL Beauty- it's no secret! So when I learned that they'd recently launched 5 new GLOSS PUR shades, in addition to No. 3, Pure Coral (which I'd told you about a month or so ago), I had to let you know!

Mischo Beauty Extra: #34 Tulipe Noire by Yves Saint Laurent

I stopped by the YSL counter this weekend to check out the new Tuxedo collection and instantly fell in love with the #35 Tuxedo Grey nail polish (which was already sold out!) and the #9 Emerald liquid eyeliner - oh and the #14 Golden Purple & #15 Golden Berry lip glosses are so pretty! But for this week's post I chose the #34 Tulipe Noire nail polish. It's a deep, dark purple (looks almost black depending on the lighting) and I LOVE it! I fell in love with it as soon as I tried it on at the counter. I had planned to finish the month of August with the bright nail colors I'd purchased, but oh well- I guess you can't stop love! One coat is all you need to achieve the color in the bottle, but darker colors are harder for me to apply neatly, so I applied two. What do you think?
