Mischo Beauty Pick: H2PRO Presto 1 1/4" Turbo Flat Iron
And secondly, it's ceramic plates were designed with the "Nano Hi-Tech" technology, so the iron should easily glide through each section of your hair infusing shine and eliminating frizz. It did all this for my type 4 hair and more!

Mischo Beauty: Hana Styling Iron Cleaner
Well, I'm excited to tell you about the Hana Styling Iron Cleaner. It's a spray cleaner for gold, ceramic, titanium and tourmaline styling tools. I've tested it on both my Hana Professional 1" Ceramic Flat Iron and my Hana Mini Flat Iron with no issues. Neither tool had the caked on product build-up, but I was able to see how easy the cleaner dissolved the residue that was present. For tougher build-up, it's recommended that the cleaner sit on the styling tool for up to 10 minutes for best results.
Ok, so tell me- what's your salon pet peeve?

Mischo Beauty Review: Hana Mini Flat Iron & ShineShield
It comes wrapped in a silver case- similar to a makeup bag. And like the Hana Professional 1" Flat Iron I told you about a while ago, it is also made with tourmaline ceramic plates, so no worries about frizzy hair!
I used the ShineShield on my wet hair as a leave-in treatment for protection against heat styling. After flat-ironing my hair, it left my hair soft and smooth- but be careful, a little goes a long way so you don't need much to achieve your desired results.

Mischo Beauty Review: IZUNAMI Flat Iron (One Inch Styler)
It's tourmaline, ionic and fine ceramic plates ensures an even distribution of heat, allowing the flat iron to glide effortlessly through my hair, while sealing in moisture and shine. And no, there's no need to flat iron your hair, and then use a curling iron to add curls. This will allow you to flat-iron, curl, twist, flick, and wave your hair (believe me, it's all in your wrist action/movement/control- it just takes practice!)- all at once!
Your hair will love you for this investment, and you know you're totally worth it!

Mischo Beauty Review: Sedu Revolution Nano Tourmaline Ionic 1" Styling Iron
So after hearing my beauty blogging friends, Urbane Girl and All About The Pretty, rave about the new Sedu flat iron, I couldn't wait to try it! Well my test for a new flat iron is always whether or not it will straighten my type 4B hair, without burning it or drying it out. After shampooing and deep conditioning my hair, I choose to sit under my hooded hair dryer, as opposed to blow drying. Oh, and I used my FHI Heat Hot Sauce as my thermal protectant.
After training with Vidal Sassoon, I learned that the key to a successfully flat ironing the hair is to first section the hair for organization, and then flat iron sections no thicker than 1/2 inch (if not smaller, depending on the texture of your hair). I used the highest temperature setting on my natural hair, due to the fact that it's coarse and tightly coiled. Shiny, silky, and soft hair was the end result for me- and yes, I was very pleased.
A few other facts about the Sedu that I love are:
- The Sedu comes with a heatproof mat (I often style my hair on the go, so the mat makes
traveling with the Sedu easy!)
- The adjustable temperature control allows me to set the temperature based on my hair's
texture (in case I decide to relax my hair) and needs
- The Nano Tourmaline plates ensure an even distribution of heat and a smooth finish
- The curved edges of the plates allow for easy curling of your hair, and the Sedu comes with an
instruction DVD with easy to follow steps for achieving curls, waves, etc.
Oh, and I love the packaging (very sleek and chic), which made me excited about trying what was inside. Overall, the Sedu is a winner and I recommend it!

Beautiful hair needs an expert: Bumble and Bumble Sumo Wax

I was just reminded of how great Bumble and Bumble's Sumo Wax is! I actually haven't used it since first discovering it while working in a salon in San Francisco about six years ago- but I definitely still recommend it for all hair types. It's great for those with short haircuts seeking texture and definition and it's also great for those with longer styles because it removes the frizz and adds shine. Of course the amount you use is based on your haircut, hair type and hair's needs. Just remember, a little goes a long way! I think it's the perfect styling aid for Beyonce's sleek flat iron finish- no worries about flyaways or dull looking hair.
Have you tried it? What are your favorite Bumble and Bumble products?

Mischo Beauty Review: FHI Heat Platform 1" Special Edition

I just started using my FHI Heat Platform 1" Special Edition flat iron and I must tell you that I'm so pleased with the results (and you all know I've used my fair share of flat irons!)! You see I had an appointment with my stylist on Wednesday and hated the way she styled my hair, so I went home and washed it out. Yes, I know, money washed down the drain... but life goes on! I applied the FHI Heat Hot Sauce and I let my hair air dry and decided to give the flat iron a try. I skipped the blow dry, because I really wanted to see what this flat iron could do and when I tell you it proved itself- it really did!
The flat iron is light weight, so it's very easy on the wrist and you're able to adjust the temperature dial from 140 F to 450 F, depending on your hair's texture and needs. I definitely needed a higher temperature setting due to the fact that I decided to skip my blow dry. But best of all- I'm happy I don't have to worry about dry/fried hair from flat ironing. The ceramic plates are tourmaline treated which results in a high negative ion count. This means that more water is allowed to be absored into the hair; therefore moisture is sealed in, enhancing the conditoin of the hair. My hair loved it, I loved using it- I'm sold!
