Thandie Newton was definitely the "belle of the ball" at last night's Costume Institute Gala celebrating the opening of the "American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity" exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She wore a Vivienne Westwood Gold Label corset gown, accented by an effortless updo and nude makeup, with a focus on the eyes. Love it!

I was passing through Union Station, right before Christmas, when I spotted Thandie Newton (I'm a fan!) on the cover of the December issue of Instyle magazine (UK). Covers such as this are few and far in between (has Thandie made the cover of Essence Magazine yet?) so I had to pick this up!

I officially became a Thandie Newton fan after seeing her in the movie Beloved. She was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I'm loving her dress in the photo- but I'm loving her lipstick even more! It's perfect for her skin tone and compliments her entire look.
