Mischo Beauty Pick: Marc Jacobs Daisy Pop Art

If you liked Marc Jacobs' original Daisy fragrance, then you'll love his newest scent, Daisy Pop Art. Described as a "richer interpretation of the original", the scent's top notes include velvety violet, gardenia, jasmine and wild strawberry. And the result - a divine fragrance, which I love! Introduced in a new limited-edition bottle inspired by Marc Jacobs love of art, the scent is exclusively available this fall.

Have you tried it? In love with it?

Mischo Beauty Covers Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week: Redken & Marc Jacobs Spring 2011

My favorite collection this season is, without a doubt (seriously, this collection is ME!), Marc Jacobs' Spring 2011 collection. The overall look was "70's glam" and I love how Guido Palau for Redken was able to completely capture the decade in the look he created for the hair.

A combination of curling, crimping, brushing and teasing were used along with Redken's Thickening Lotion and Quick Dry Instant Finishing Hairspray. Soooooo are you loving the look as much as I am?

Mischo Beauty Loves Marc Jacobs Biscotti Splash

When it comes to fragrances, my preference is always more of a floral or citrus scent. So when agreeing to try the new Marc Jacobs Splash collection of fragrances, my picks were naturally the Apple and Pomegranate scents. What I actually received was the Biscotti scent- which believe it or not, left me pleasantly surprised!

With top notes of freesia, bergamont, orange flower and vanilla- Biscotti is soft, sweet and might I add flirty! The scent is light, which makes it perfect for summer and I'm happy to announce that I love it.

Mischo Beauty Covers Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week: NARS & Marc Jacobs Spring 2010

The makeup look for the Marc Jacobs Spring 2010 Ready-To-Wear runway show was inspired by the contemporary dancer, Martha Graham- "old-fashioned and theatrical but graceful and precise. This translated into a "left over stage makeup" look for the runway show. The models weren't meant to have perfect makeup- a "just came off-stage" look was the goal and it was achieved!

The focus of the look was the eye. According to Francois Nars, the shape of the eyeliner was most important- it was meant to open the eyes, especially underneath. NARS' Black Moon Eyeliner Pencil was used to enhance the eye.

I loved the soft, muted lip! NARS' Pop Life Velvet Matte Lip Pencil, which is new for Holiday 2009, was used on both upper and lower lips, adding an extra layer to the top lip so that it appeared darker. To view the entire look along with the complete collection, click here.

- Have you ever tried NARS' lipstick or lip gloss? Here are two of my favorites!

Mischo Beauty Loves Marc Jacobs Lola

The last Marc Jacobs' fragrance I fell in love with was Blush. A few years ago I walked into the store on Mercer Street in Soho, smelled the fragrance and it was instant love! So, I couldn't wait to tell you about the newest fragrance launch, Lola. It's described as "warm, sensual, sexy and flirtatious", with top notes of pink peppercorn, pear and ruby red grapefruit.

I'll tell you now that it's a must-have for fall! Not only am I loving the fragrance itself, but also the packaging and bottle design. It's exclusively available at Marc Jacobs stores and Bloomingdales , but will be released nationwide in September.

Have you tried it? Are you loving it?

Mischo Beauty Pick: Marc Jacobs Blush

I don't remember a time when out shopping I stopped to smell a perfume and knew at that moment I just had to have it. But it happened a few years ago when I was in Soho and decided to stop in the Marc Jacobs store on Mercer Street. The fragrances were on the right-hand side of the store just after walking through the front door. Blush was the first bottle I picked up and I immediately fell in love with it. It's a combination of jasmine nectar, star jasmine, pink freesia, orange flower, japanese honeysucle, pink musk, cashmere wood and sandalwood. The fragrance is perfect for spring and even more perfect for summer. It's absolutely divine and I'll continue to keep it in my collection forever. I love it. What's your favorite perfume and why?

Mischo Beauty News

I've just learned that Bendel Beauty launched the M.A.C Fafi line yesterday. I gasped when I saw the e-mail blast because I'm patiently awaiting the release in the DC Metro area. Oh well, living in New York definitely has it's perks! You can also meet Fafi at Bendel on February 13th from 4pm - 6pm.

Fergie is definitely living the "Glamorous" life! She attended the Marc by Marc Jacobs show on Wednesday, sitting front row of course and was recently named M.A.C's Viva Glam spokesperson.

Finally, M.A.C just launched a new lipstick called Slimshine. It's described as having the creamy, smooth texture of a lipstick and shine of lip gloss without a sticky finish. Based on Christine's swatches over at Temptalia, my favorites are Rock Out and Grenadine.
