Mischo Beauty Pick: Black Opal True Color Stick Foundation

So you all probably know by now that Sam Fine is my absolute favorite makeup artist in the whole wide world, right?!!! And so when he says he loves a product, I'm running to check it out. This was definitely the case with Black Opal's True Color Stick Foundations. Luckily for me, I was able to use the entire color range of stick foundations during a makeup class I completed a week ago. And the results were flawless applications!

What I loved most about using the foundations is that the coverage is buildable. So if sheer coverage is your desired look, then use your fingers and apply sparingly. And if you need full coverage, then continue to apply until satisfied.

I learned that in most cases you'll probably need two shades to achieve the most natural look. My models' complexions varied- but most were lighter near the nose/cheek areas, and darker near the hairline/jawline areas. I'm impressed with this collection and feel it's definitely worth a try!

Mischo Beauty: My Sephora Visit...

I was recently gifted with a few Sephora gift cards, and you all know how much I HEART Sephora at this point, right? Well I have to tell you that a recent visit had me running for the store's doors! You see, I was in search of this concealer and this concealer, both by Make Up For Ever. And I can't begin to tell you how disgusting the display testers were (not these in particular)- let's just say major sanitation & disinfection issues! I even attempted to sample items over at the Yves Saint Laurent display, with no luck.

Believe me, I know it's probably hard to control testers left out to be freely sampled by the public, but the looks of those testers left me not wanting to step foot in the store again....

Ok, enough venting for today! But I do want to know your thoughts on testers left out for the general public. Please share!

Mischo Beauty Pick: CoverBlend by Exuviance

I have another recommendation for those of you dealing with issues such as dark eye circles, blemishes, age spots, varicose veins, bruises, birthmarks, stretch marks, hyperpigmentation (which I've written about many times before) and tattoos on the face, hands, legs and body.

Well, the brand is called CoverBlend Concealing Treatment Cosmetics. This line is not only formulated to provide natural looking coverage, but it also contains Polyhydroxy Acid Gluconolactone, which works to improve skin tone and diminish wrinkles.

The line includes the following:

- CoverBlend Multi-Function Concealer, SPF 15 ( a must-have!)
- CoverBlend Corrective Leg & Body Makeup, SPF 18
- CoverBlend Concealing Treatment Makeup, SPF 20
- Exuvaince Skin Caring Foundation, SPF 15

It's available at ULTA stores and at www.exuviance.com. Have you tried this line?

Mischo Beauty Pick: Cover FX Total Coverage Cream Foundation SPF 30

For those of you dealing with issues such as hyperpigmentation, acne scars, under eye circles or rosacea- for example, well you may want to consider trying a product line called Cover FX. This line of color cosmeceuticals was developed to help those with or without skin conditions achieve a beautiful complexion.

I had the opportunity to try the Cover FX Total Coverage Cream Foundation SPF 30, which is specifically formulated for sensitive skin and contains an SPF 30, vitamin E and antioxidants. Now if I wanted to cover my freckles (which I don't) I could with this! The foundation was very easy to apply and I followed it with the Translucent Setting Powder. I love that it's noncomedogenic (so it shouldn't clog your pores), oil-free and fragrance-free.

With an entire range of coverage options and the most extensive color palette of any line on the market, I encourage those of you who've emailed me in the past regarding issues with hyperpigmentation to check this out!

Have you tried this line? Any thoughts?
