Mischo Beauty Interviews 3LAB's co-founder Erica Chung & Giveaway!

I had the opportunity to take a tour of 3LAB last September during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, and of course the chemist in me loved it! Well today I'm excited to present to you an interview with 3LAB's co-founder Erica Chung. Enjoy!

What makes 3LAB products different from other skincare brands currently on the market?

We have a state of the art R&D and manufacturing facility on the premises so we're constantly working together with the scientists and being introduced to newest ingredients as they become available in the market.

We are very conservative with our money except when it comes to investing into the highest qualities of ingredients for the products. We use the newest and most efficacious ingredients and we put the highest quantities into our products so they work on skin immediately.

Our goal is to create the perfect skincare products that will work for the people and we'd rather put our investment into jars than advertising.

What are your best tips for transitioning one's skincare regimen into the spring/summer months?

Protect your skin using sunscreen that defends against both UVA/UVB rays. Also, use anti-aging products to help delay the process of skin aging even if you don't have deep wrinkles to prevent them from showing up too soon.

Use 3LAB Perfect Mask 1-2 times a week to speed up circulation (it makes my skin look so radiant) and treat dehydrated skin from the heat and cold during the winter.

What's your top beauty secret?

I concentrate on the products targeting the skin's clarity and pigmentation because wrinkles are not the only sign of the skin's age- for many people, uneven complexion of the skin is. Clear and even skin tone is the key sign of youthful and healthy skin.

What's your favorite 3LAB product and why?

Multi-functioning Hydra Day with Water Based SPF 20 cream helps to show the perfect color of the makeup I put on each morning and stays that way without oxidizing or giving off too much shine. The formula is oil-free, yet hydrates the skin and is non-clogging to the pores. This cream is perfect for all skin types.

Super "h" Serum (launching exclusively at Barneys New York stores this May) is the reason for the complements I'm getting from people these days! They say that I look 20 years younger than my actual age of 52, and I love it! It gives my skin the radiance, firmness and clarity I've never had in my youth!

Thank you, Erica!

So here's how you can win the Super "h" Serum (valued at $300)! Just leave a comment below telling me why you'd like to try it, along with your email address (3LAB would love to keep you updated on upcoming events!) and you'll automatically be entered to win. The contest ends at 11:59pm on Sunday, May 17th. Contest open to U.S. residents only. The winner will be chosen at random.

Just hearing that the Super "h" Serum could make you look 20 years younger is freaking fantastic! Not that I need to look 20 years younger (do I want to look like I'm 3 years old? LOL) but my mom could definitely use this! She is under a lot of stress right now and hasn't got the time or money to pamper herself.

I'd love to try the serum because i live in super sunny AZ which is awesome, but horrible for my skin, giving me sunspots and wrinkles before my time! I'd love to try this to see if it will combat these annoyances!

Since you started posting about 3Lab products, I have been dying to try them. 3Lab offers products that specifically address skin issues I have developed as a result of getting older. I have been looking for a serum to incorporate into my regimen and the super H serum sounds perfect.

I would love to try the Super h serum because I am curious to see if it could even out my skin tone, give my skin a healthy glow and possibly minimize my pores (through its firming of skin texture). I want to see if it works! $300 is a huge investment to make on a beauty product, but well worth it if the product lives up to its claims. I'm 34, and I am proud of each of those years, so I want to look healthy and the best I can be at this age and then some!

I turn 30 this year and have become obsessed withboth maintaining and improving my skin naturally (sans-injections). I have struggled with finding a product that's gentle enough not to damage the sensative areas of my face, but still strong enough to make a noticeable difference. Sounds like 3LAB may do the trick!

I would love to try this because when the weather changes, my skin has a difficult time adapting (breakouts, dryness, rashes). Every season, I have to revise my regimen to accommodate my skin. It would be nice to incorporate this product in my routine.

I would love to try the Super h serum to bring brightness to my dull skin. I abused my skin by worshipping the sun in my teens and twenties. Now that I'm in my mid 40s, I am paying the price!

Anything that makes your make up look better is great. The first rule of wearing foundation is to enhance not hide skin. So a non-clogging moisturizer is important.

I thought the older I got the less problems I'd have with my skin but the opposite is true. This past winter was rough on my face; I was actually having problems with flaking. I don't care for a moisturizer that leaves my skin with a greasy shine and I'd love something that enhances my foundation instead of working against it. 3Lab sounds like it just might fit the bill.

I would love to try the Super H Serum because I am addicted to beauty products, so this is a great way to try one out. I have very dull skin and I would hope that it would make it look brighter. And I really want to switch from moisturizers to serums for a while, since I read that it is an option for oily skin.

I love that they use new, better ingredients in their products...usually all skin care products are made from the same or basically the same ingredients. It's nice to know they actaully think about what they're selling us!

thanks soooo much! I'd lvoe to try it!

I'd LOVE to try it because my skin really needs help. It's combo and somewhat sun-damaged. As a mom, I just don't take care of my own skin most of the time. I need to start taking care of it with products that are a good quality. Thanks!

There are plenty of reasons to want Super 'h' Serum! Here are just a few of my reasons:

First: I live FL, which is hot and plenty sunny, so I like how their site said 'Diminishes and Reverses the effects of UV light on the skin'.

Next: I am a mom to a nearly 2 year old, which is stressful, so I appreciated that the site said it 'Gives instant firmness and lifting to the skin'.

Last but not least: I am turning 30 next month, which is a reality check, so I like that the site said Super 'h' serum 'Reduces age spots for brighter, clearer skin'.

webleane{at}yahoo{dot}com

I also appreciate their focus on using effective ingredients to provide real results. Wonderful giveaway! Thanks so much for the chance to win.
