For the very first time- I bring you Mischo Beauty TV! I was able to get live footage of the TRESemme hairstyling team, lead by Nathaniel Hawkins of Project Runway, backstage at Tracy Reese. Please bare with me- my hands were a little shaky from all the excitement! Each models' hair was styled into an effortless, carefree chignon. In the first video you'll see Nathaniel prepare a hair extension for a model with short hair in order to create the foundation for the chignon.
The Big Boost Root Lift spray was used to create volume and thickness at the roots before securing the hair into a ponytail.

The Therman Creations Heat Tamer spray was used on the mid-shaft and ends to protect the hair from the heat of the curling iron before being braided.
The final video is another demonstration by a TRESemme hairstylist on how to achieve the runway look.
I know I haven't really said too much about the runway show itself, but it was truly AMAZING. After the show I looked at my friend and she had tears in her eyes- and then of course I was teary eyed...we were a mess! LOL! But, it was truly amazing!
Being backstage at Tracy Reese was truly a dream come true! Not only was I able to chat with Mally Roncal, but I was also able to chat with the nail experts from Sally Hansen. I learned that Tracy Reese had partnered with Sally Hansen to create a line of nail polish colors to complement her Spring 2009 runway collection. Not only was Tracy responsible for creating the colors, but she named each shade as well!
The nail colors from left to right: Tassel, Night Hydrangea, Honeydew, Beet Stain, Nasturtium, Forsythia and Azalea.
Tassel was the nail color worn on the runway to complement each look.
The Sally Hansen nail experts applied a coat of Age Correct Strength Dry + Brittle Nail Care for the base coat. Next, one coat of Tassel was applied followed by a coat of Salon Speed Shine 10 Day Top Coat.

Model Samira Carvalho posed for me after having her makeup completed. So there you have it! Don't you love it!!!!! What's best of all is that this collection will be available in drugstores- yes, I did say drugstores- around the country beginning in February/March!
What colors are you loving?
Simply put, Tracy Reese's Spring 2009 collection was inspired by nature and the shades of colors most prevalent during the spring season. I had the opportunity to speak with Mally Roncal (lead makeup artist) backstage about the makeup look, techniques and products used. Mally explained that the goal for the look was to keep the makeup very soft and beautiful, with the only emphasis being on the bold brows. Various shades of peach were used on the eyelids, cheeks and lips.
Brows were shaped and filled in, and strip lashes were used and touched-up with mascara. The upper and lower lash lines were lined using a black eyeliner and the inner tear line was lined with a brown eyeliner.
The cheeks were highlighted using a peach blush and the lips were kept very soft and natural looking by using a peach lipgloss with no lip liner.
All makeup used was Mally Beauty. I love the fact that Mally's direction for the show not only complemented the collection perfectly, but looked stunning radiant on all of the models, each of varying complexions.
