Mischo Beauty Loves Clarisonic Opal

I've mentioned my love for the Clarisonic Skincare Brush like a million times, so it's only natural that I share with you all how much I'm loving the Clarisonic Opal. It's a new beauty tool by Clarisonic that uses the "sonic technology" to infuse it's anti-aging sea serum into the skin. It's great for those with fine lines and wrinkles around the eye area - whatever the age, whatever the reason! And for those of you with great skin- well, it's a must-have prevention tool (think hydration and nourishment). I use this a few times a week and it's now a part of my weekly mini-facial regimen. Love it!

Mischo Beauty Pick: Avon ANEW

If you've never heard of the Avon ANEW collection of products, then you should make it a point to check out the website ASAP! By now you all know that I have this serious love affair going on with skin (well skin and hair- they're tied! LOL), which is why I've stressed the importance of a consistent skincare regimen about a million times! Well, after checking out the ANEW collection of products (which are formulated for the premature aging/aging skin condition) I'm impressed and thought you all should know about them!

First of all, be sure to take the ANEW Skincare Quiz when you visit the website, because it takes the guessing out of which products are best for you. After taking the quiz, you're given a list of products recommended for your specific needs, and you're also told which to use in the morning and at night.

So why should you try these products? Well, the promise of consistent cell turnover (which keeps skin looking young and fresh), tiny pores, the reduction of fine lines and an even skintone! I'm sold. And guess what? You have no excuses for not using this collection to start an amazing skincare regimen.

If you've tried this collection, please let us know your thoughts!

Mischo Beauty Loves Rodial Skincare

This post is specifically for those of you with a premature aging/aging skin condition. And before I continue, it's important to know the difference between "skin type" and "skin condition". We're born with our skin types (genetically determined), whereas skin conditions (dehydration, pigmentation, aging, breakouts, etc.) are most often caused by external factors and may change from day to day. Half the challenge of achieving healthy skin is knowing your skin type and skin conditions, and then being able to select the appropriate skincare line.

With that said, I'm excited to introduce you to Rodial skin care products, whose tag line (which I happen to love) is "The glamorous alternative to surgery". What's most important about this skincare line is that it features "Pomegranate Ellagic Tannin", which is an antioxidant, collagen booster and firming agent. So what does this all really mean? This skincare line is supposed to correct skin conditions such as wrinkles, loose skin, pigmentation and the list goes on and on....

Excited yet? I know I am! Be sure to check out the Glam Balm Wipes (great for makeup removal) and the LA Face Lift kit (perfect for those of you who travel frequently and great for those of you determined to implement a consistent/complete skincare regimen).

If you're using or have tried this line, please share your thoughts!

Mischo Beauty School: Top 10 Anti-Aging Foods (VegNews)

I've decided to resume the "Mischo Beauty School" posts with a focus on internal beauty (as we discussed last week) and anti-aging by sharing with you all a list I discovered in the January/February 2009 issue of VegNews. Now I'm not a vegetarian (at least not yet) but I love reading my friend's copies of VegNews, as I'm always looking to improve my diet. Well in an article entitled "Food for Life" by Angelina del rio Drake, I discovered the "Top 10 Anti-Aging Foods" list.

I loved this list because quite frankly, I enjoy eating just about everything on it and I'm glad to know I'm on the right track! And so in no particular order the list includes:

- Acai
- Avocados
- Beans
- Blueberries
- Dark Leafy Greens
- Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
- Garlic
- Sweet Potatoes
- Tomatoes
- Walnuts

Oh, and while we're on the subject of internal beauty, Kimberly Snyder (Envision Beauty Blog) recently posted a new recipe for her Fall Green Smoothie (thanks to DE for letting me know!), so if you get a chance, please check it out.

I'd love to know your thoughts on the "Top 10 Anti-Aging Foods" list! Are they already a part of your diet? Do you plan to incorporate them? Are there foods missing from the list that we should know about? Please share!

Mischo Beauty Review: L'Oréal Paris' Colour Riche Anti-Aging Serum Lipstick

For me, this lipstick did/does exactly what it says when it comes to "improving definition". The addition of the anti-aging serum of ProXalyne, Collagen and other ingredients make it very moisturizing and kept my lips looking full and plump.

It's long lasting and I do love the rich color payoff - I've tried both #301 Real Red and #703 Cranberry. The lipstick didn't disappoint! Have you tried it?

Mischo Beauty Pick: ANEW Clinical Derma-Full X3 Facial Filling Serum

You might remember my Mischo Beauty School: Serums 101 post, where I discussed what exactly serums were and how you might benefit from them. And just to refresh your memory, serums are highly concentrated treatments of active ingredients used to penetrate and treat various skin conditions such as dehydration, stress, environmental damage, fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation issues or loss of elasticity.

Well AVON recently introduced their ANEW Clinical Derma-Full X3 Facial Filling Serum, which is an injectable-grade topical treatment. Hyaluronic Acid is a key ingredient used to fill fine lines and wrinkles, so what this means for you is: 1) it's the strength used in Dermatologist's offices, so similar results should apply; 2) it's a topical treatment, so there's no worry about pain- no needles!; and 3) it costs a fraction of what you'd normally pay for a treatment at a Dermatologist's office.

The proposed benefits, plus the price ($54), make this totally worth a try!

Mischo Beauty: LUXTURAL

I was recently given the opportunity to try a new skin care brand called Luxtural. "When Luxury Meets Nature At Your Skin" is the brand's philosophy, and the three launch products include Mystique Fountain (facial deep hydration rainy mist), Sophisticated Veil (facial anti-aging deep moisturizing serum) and Silk Premonition (facial deep moisturizing anti-aging lotion).

The products are free of synthetic fragrances, parabens and mineral oil and are full of anti-aging ingredients such as seaweed and peptides. I liked the fact that the Sophisticated Veil absorbed quickly and felt like silk on my skin. Many of you know that my best advice is to use products for your skin type/issues, and so I like the fact that these products were formulated for all skin types and target issues of dry skin/dehydration and aging.

Have you tried this line yet?
