I volunteered to help build a wheelchair ramp for a family that has a daughter with cerebral palsy and she can't walk. It felt really good to do something for them for Christmas! - priyag21@yahoo.com

Today, my three girls (ages, 8, 6 and 4) and I shopped for toys to give to "Hosea Feed the Hungry". We donated about $50 worth of toys for kids ranging from 2-16 in order to ensure that HFTH would have enough toys for their annual toy drive. Each year, I take my girls shopping for other kids so that they can share their blessings with others. They love giving back to their community and showing random acts of kindness. My oldest daughter is also excited to join Kiva to make a difference in the world. She will receive the dollars as a Christmas gift to share with a thriving entrepreneur somewhere in our world.

I actually made a gift bag of beauty products and donated them to a local organization. My company actually sets up giving events like this a couple of times a year and I think it's a great way to give back!

Were putting together little gift bags for women at our local domestic violence shelter. Things such as fragrance samples, bath and body products because these women after all they've been through can use a little pamper time. You never realize how important things like toothpaste and soap are until you don't have any.

I've gotten my children involved because they we are teaching them how about giving back. They have also donated their clothes and toys to the local thrift store.

I helped organize a food collection at my job- which will be donated to a local food bank. And, it's now an annual tradition that my family volunteer at a local homeless shelter serving food on Christmas day.
