This first lesson is inspired by the first Mischo Beauty Icon, Diana Ross and her iconic look of the 60’s and 70’s.
Lashes are my favorite new beauty accessory, and my biggest challenge when it comes to applying my own. I’ve mastered applying them to everyone but myself- but technique and control come from practice.
At any rate there are two types of artifical lashes- band lashes and individual lashes. Band lashes (also called strip lashes) are applied with adhesive to the natural lash line. Individual lashes are separate artifical eyelashes that are applied to the lash line one at a time. The eyelash adhesive is the product used to make the artificial eyelashes adhere, or stick, to the natural lash line. Eyelashes are available in human hair, animal hair, synthetic fibers and are available in a variety of colors.
Procedure:
1. Decide on length and desired effect.
2. Wash your hands.
3. Curl eyelashes with an eyelash curler.
4. Remove eyelash from package and trim to fit the curve of the eyelid.
5. Apply a thin strip of lash adhesive and allow to set for a few seconds.
6. Apply the band lash to the eyelash line.
7. Use tweezers to gently press the band eyelash.
8. Retouch the lash line with eyeliner.
Remove the lashes using a warm compress or make-up remover. Please e-mail me for information on the procedure for applying individual lashes.
