Mischo Beauty Loves Twirl by Kate Spade New York

I used to love all things Kate Spade back in the day (it was always my first stop in Georgetown!), but not so much anymore. Not sure if the brand has changed, or maybe it's just that my style has evolved. Whatever the case - what I do still love are the Kate Spade fragrances, and Twirl is not to be missed. It's best described (in my opinion) as soft, pretty and floral with a hint of citrus. Yes, I love it- and I think you will too!

Mischo Beauty: Thierry Mugler Womanity Perfume Collection

My interest was piqued when first learning that Thierry Mugler's newest fragrance, Womanity, was a combination of citrus, fig, caviar and wood. And after seeing the bottle design, I knew I had to try it! Of the collection, which includes the Eau de Parfum Spray, Shower Gel, Body Milk, and Body Cream, my favorite is the shower gel. Mischo Beauty Pick: Nanette by Nanette Lepore

With top notes of spicy pink pepper, lush neroli and glazed rose petals, Nanette by Nanette Lepore does not disappoint. Though the designer's fragrance launched last Fall, I found the scent to be perfect for the warm weather. Most noticeable is the fragrance's sweetness, actually sweeter then what I'm normally used to wearing, but at the same time a welcomed change from the norm.

Mischo Beauty Loves Marc Jacobs Biscotti Splash

When it comes to fragrances, my preference is always more of a floral or citrus scent. So when agreeing to try the new Marc Jacobs Splash collection of fragrances, my picks were naturally the Apple and Pomegranate scents. What I actually received was the Biscotti scent- which believe it or not, left me pleasantly surprised!

With top notes of freesia, bergamont, orange flower and vanilla- Biscotti is soft, sweet and might I add flirty! The scent is light, which makes it perfect for summer and I'm happy to announce that I love it.

Balenciaga's newest fragrance, Balenciaga Paris, is quickly becoming my signature scent this spring! The fragrance's top note is best described as a "bouquet of violets" combined with underlying woodsy, peppery notes- which surprisingly I love! Mischo Beauty Loves: Scarlett Johansson for Dolce & Gabbana's "Rose The One" Fragrance Ad Campaign

I love a beautifully executed "beauty" ad campaign and such is the case with Dolce & Gabbana's print ads for their new fragrance, "Rose The One". Again, they've chosen Scarlett Johansson as the campaign spokesmodel (she's also the face for their makeup collection) and I have to congratulate the beauty superstars (hairstylist, makeup artist, manicurist, etc.) behind the scenes who were all a part of making the creative director's vision a reality.

The fragrance collection also includes a shower gel, body lotion and shimmer powder and is exclusively available at Saks Fifth Avenue.

Mischo Beauty Loves Stella McCartney's StellaNude Linen Scented Mist

As most of you already know, I'm new to the Stella McCartney fragrance range- and a few months ago I fell in love with the Stella Eau de Parfum Roll-On while waiting in line to check out at Sephora. Well, I was recently given the opportunity to try the new Linen Scented Mist, which is part of the StellaNude collection, and it was instant love!

It contains some of the same top notes I loved so much in the roll-on, such as rose, peony, and amber- but this definitely falls into the " delicate, soft, sensual" category. It's a "linen mist" so it's very light- perfect for a lingerie drawer, closet or wherever you see fit to use it.

Mischo Beauty Pick: PARISIENNE By Yves Saint Laurent Beauty

I welcomed the opportunity to try Yves Saint Laurent Beauty's newest fragrance, Parisienne, and I will tell you that I was not disappointed. It's described as "a grand floral with a woody structure, luminous even in its mystery". The fragrance's top notes are Blackberry, Damask Rose and Sandalwood.

Now I'm not an expert when it comes to fragrances, but I could barely smell the Sandalwood which contributes to the "woody structure" of the fragrance and I think that's why I liked it so much. I'm more partial to citrus/floral scents, and I could smell the richness of the Blackberry and Damask Rose immediately after testing it out. It's more of a "day" scent for me and it's definitely a keeper! Have you tried it?

Mischo Beauty Loves Marc Jacobs Lola

The last Marc Jacobs' fragrance I fell in love with was Blush. A few years ago I walked into the store on Mercer Street in Soho, smelled the fragrance and it was instant love! So, I couldn't wait to tell you about the newest fragrance launch, Lola. It's described as "warm, sensual, sexy and flirtatious", with top notes of pink peppercorn, pear and ruby red grapefruit.

I'll tell you now that it's a must-have for fall! Not only am I loving the fragrance itself, but also the packaging and bottle design. It's exclusively available at Marc Jacobs stores and Bloomingdales , but will be released nationwide in September.

Mischo Beauty: The Body Shop White Musk White Hot Summer Fragrance

I used to be addicted to The Body Shop's body butters, but I'll have to admit- it's been a while since I've used them. So, I welcomed the opportunity to test out the White Musk White Hot Summer fragrance collection in both the body lotion and eau de toilette.

The fragrance is formulated with top notes of pink pepper, bergamot and violet leaf, which for me, was a little strong for the day- but works for night. I loved that the fragrance was long lasting- in both the body lotion and eau de toilette. The collection also includes a body mist and is available for a limited time only.

Mischo Beauty: Stella Eau de Parfum Roll-On

So my friend and I went on an excursion to Sephora the other day (thanks Nobie!), and as much as I'm in denial about the onset of fall next month, I was actually there to check out the fall makeup collections. Well temptation seemed to settle in at checkout- you see that's where you'll find bins of deluxe samples of just about everything you could possibly want.

I couldn't resist the Stella Eau de Parfum Roll-On. The scent took my breath away- excuse me, but not only mine, but my friend fell in love with it too! The fragrance's top notes are rose, peony flower, mandarin, rose absolute and amber. I think it's the perfect blend of sweet and sexy- and yes, we both had to have it!

Mischo Beauty Loves Serge Lutens Parfum

I love when I discover something that absolutely takes my breath away- and that's what happened when I recently sampled Nuit De Cellophane and Datura Noir by Serge Lutens.

The Datura Noir is formulated from the black datura, a night blooming tropical flower, and I'd best describe it as a sweet floral with a slight hint of musk. As soon as I smelled it on my skin, I knew I had to have it! But, I'm equally in love with the Nuit De Cellophane, which is more of a fruity floral with top notes of jasmine, osmanthus and lily.

And lucky for me, there was a gift with purchase which included a Felix Ray makeup bag filled with deluxe size samples.

Mischo Beauty Pick: Diptyque’s Cologne Collection

I've been loving Diptyque's candles for a while now- my favorites being Tubereuse, Freesia, Pomander and Oranger. Well, Diptyque's Cologne Collection, which consists of L'Eau de L'Eau, L'Eau de Neroli and L'Eau des Hesperides, recently won the French Fragrance Foundation's Grand Prix du Parfum for Exclusive Distribution and Marie-Claire's Beauty-Fashion Editor's Top Choice.

Mischo Beauty Loves Carol's Daughter

I remember when Carol's Daughter was a little store in Brooklyn, and I love that it's now grown into a beauty empire! I'll love Carol's Daughter forever and the reason is because the products actually work! For those of you who've been following my blog, you'll remember that I've posted here and here about some of the many products I love.

Because of my hair type and current hair needs, I've been using the Tui Collection (Tui Herbal Shampoo, Tui Leave-In Conditioner, Tui Hair Oil and the Tui Hair Smoothie) of hair products, which are recommended for dry/damaged hair. My hair is naturally dry and seems to soak up everything I put in it, so I need products that add moisture while conditioning. I've been following the recommended regimen, step-by-step, as listed here. Now my hair loves the Tui Collection, but for those of you with other hair types/needs, there's a regimen of products for you listed under "Shop By Solution" under the "Hair" tab.

I've been testing the "Wash Away the Oil" Essential Serum and basically what it does is nourishes and protects the skin while working to regulate the skin's oil glands. Now it's recommended for normal-to-oily skin types, and due to my oily t-zone, I fit into this category. I've worked the serum into my skincare regimen by using it at night, after cleansing and toning. My skin feels soft and smooth in the mornings, but I'd love to use it with the suggested regimen of products.

Now with Mother's Day coming up this weekend, you all should really consider the Pearls by Carol's Daughter fragrance. The scent includes top notes of lemon verbena, apricot and peach and it smells amazing!
