I've been discussing this pretty much all week on Twitter and so if you follow me then you know that I don't recommend it. Maybe I'm biased (I am a licensed esthetician), but the fact of the matter is that products within a skincare line are really formulated to work with one another. Now, I do know that not every product within a line will work for you- and if that's the case, I do feel it's fine to substitute in another brand. But, I do stand firm on using a full regimen from the same brand.
So my question for you today is: Do you mix and match skincare brands?

I do mix and match skin care brands. I also go through phases where I will use the same one for months to see if there is a true difference.
I mix and match a little. Most of my skincare products are Olay or Loreal. I just find that with my sensitive skin certain things work while others don't. I do understand your view point. If I could uses just one line of skincare; the products might work better.

I tend to stick with using one brand. I sometimes like to alternate cleansers doing the week. I'm always on the hunt for the perfect moisturizer my skin changes it's mind a lot.
I've never 'matched' skincare in the past but a few weeks ago a bought 4 products from the Origins A Perfect World range so have been using them together since. My skin is looking much better but i know what i'm like, i'll want to try something different once one thing runs out then i'll be mis-matched again! I just can't stick to one thing unless i absolutely LOVE it.

My little blog...
To socialitedreams: Totally understand!
To Calming Diva: You have to do what works best for your skin type/needs...
To Chanel: But, in the end, healthy skin is the goal!
To Shalon: I can totally understand alternating between different types of cleansers- especially when the seasons change....
To Jo: Haha! I feel you... :)
I mix and match although I know I should probably stick with one brand. I do use predominantly one brand though.
To Hijabi Apprentice: The bottom line is really use what works for you! ;)
