During the application (I choose the color "Fedora"), each layer of polish is set under a UV lamp, so there's no drying time. Did the manicure last for me? No. I received the manicure last Wednesday (November 17th) and by yesterday (November 21st), two fingers on each hand had lifted and started peeling (see photo above). It was a 5 day manicure for me. And I won't begin to speculate on why it didn't last - was it the application? or maybe a lotion I used that caused it to lift and peel? I'm not sure. But, I'd love to know if you've tried it and how long it lasted for you...

Hi!! I've tried it a few times on myself and others. My first time lasted two weeks but the next 2 times I had a couple of nails to chip. It lasted two weeks on the other people I put it on although there were a couple of small chips. I like the product for long trips but I still like traditional nail polish (mine's usually last a week). Shellac is prone to chip based on application and if the person's nails peel.
eek.... that's interesting and good to know... i wonder if the base coat matters too?
Base coat usually matter when polishing nails but with Shellac, it has a "hybrid" base and top coat similar to the polish so that the whole system gives longer wear.

To andrea f: Well it has a special base coat to be used the "Shellac" nail polish, so I'm not too sure...
