Mischo Beauty Covers Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week: MAC Cosmetics & Diane Von Furstenberg Fall 2009/#NYFW

MAC's lead makeup artist, James Kaliardos, stated that his inspiration for Diane Von Furstenberg was "a woman who's home is everywhere- nomad chic".

And so, the look he created was very clean, sheer, almost nude- perfectly complementing the collection.

Eyes: Soba eye shadow - blended over lids, up past crease, out toward temples and along the lower lashline. Pearl cream colour base- to highlight the inner corner of the eyes. Pro Barelash- foundation toned product applied with a mascara wand combed through brows to diminish natural hair colour.

Face: Studio Sculpt spf 15 foundation- applied as a minimal base to the face. Pro sculpting powder- blended under cheek bones and up toward temples to concur. Pearl cream colour base- touched on the high plane of the cheek bone for highlight.

Lips: Lip Erase- applied in a sheer layer to pale down the lips. Sculpt & Shape in Bone Beige - applied with a lip brush to line the mouth.

The collection is AMAZING, and I was too excited to learn that Diana Ross (Mischo Beauty Icon- well, Diana from the 60's/70's that is!) was present for the show. You may remember her being the face of MAC at age 60!

The looks I've included above were a few of my favorites from the runway.

This is the MAC face chart from the show. Double-click to enlarge it for details.

Thoughts? Love the looks?

Yes!Love the "nomad chic" concept of the makeup. My fav look from the runway of these is the 6th one down. Thanks for covering!

To Nadia: I must admit that I love them all, but my favorite would be the 4th look. The hat, coat and shoes are amazing! :)
