Beautiful hair needs an expert: Rene Furterer Complexe 5

I've had the opportunity to use almost all of the Rene Furterer products during my apprenticeship at Elizabeth Arden Red Door. I was always very impressed with how nurturing the products were and the fact that this line contains essential oils and plant extracts formulated to keep the scalp healthy and strengthen the hair. I love that there is a full treatment regimen which can be prescribed, depending on your hair type and needs.

For Tamia's color-treated hair, I'd recommend the Complexe 5 Regenerating Extract which is a pre-shampoo treatment. It's a blend of essential oils which work together to stimulate and invigorate the scalp, prior to shampooing. This ultimately prepares the scalp for ultimate penetration of the shampoo and conditioning treatments, leaving both the scalp and hair revitalized, strong and healthy.

Pair this treatment with a scalp massage and you're in heaven. I know because I've both had and preformed the service!

Anyone using a pre-shampoo treatment you love?

I read in a old Suede mag that you should coat the hair with Castor Oil and sit under the dryer for 5 mins and then shampoo. I've been doing that for four weeks and love it!

To jamie@rural glamor. Does the castor oil wash out easily. Does this help with split ends?

I use the Complex 5 for my scalp as an overnight treatment in the winter. It perfect if you have dry scalp also it keeps the scalp clean which is supposed to help with hair growth.

Dark circles under the lower eyelids are common in men and women. Often accompanied by bags, dark circle treatment can make you appear older than you are. To make matters worse, they can be difficult to get rid of.

If you’ve got a round face, you probably also have fuller cheeks and an overall youthful look. Whilst we think all face shapes are beautiful, we understand it’s also fun to play around with your features, so we’ve asked our Colour Maestro and face makeup for her top tips on how to sculpt and define your features using makeup for a chiseled look that still complements your natural beauty.
